hi,

I would like to know if there are plans about building a marketplace
to sell services around a googlecode project.
I know that this is not interesting for a lot of folks but actually
for my project the question is where to put those extra features,
plugins and services that users, developers or companies build.
I know also that sourceforge already closed their marketplace
because ... well I think it was a lack of interesting from the
community side. But I think it was also a problem of separating the
projects and marketplace too much. So what are the plans at Google for
this area? Better host additional services separated and use the
googlecode-site as the developer-playground, project-docs, et cetera
or really use the googlecode-site as the center of the project and
integrate/link all services into it?
Cause when you do integration, of course SEO and other topics are also
on that list that need to be discussed.
An integrated solution would be better to make the barrier for new
contributors that want to sell their service/extension around the
project easier then a separated website.

I've opened already a ticket regarding *title of project hosting page*
which is somehow also connected to the SEO topic:

You are discussing this topic I think internally. I need to decide the
which way to go in the upcoming weeks. Do you have already an idea in
mind which way to go?
