As Andrew said its not possible with v2 of the API.
But your map is fairly simply, so it might be worth changing to v3 of
the API, since that doesnt have a key it should become a non issue.

I have added my key as a string and then passed it into this control.
I am using the control explained in this article:

I have just had the same problem with a page that has been working all
morning. Then it stopped. Now it's working again - and I haven't
changed anything.

A link to the actual page that contains the map might possibly give us a
clue.
Without being able to see your page, one possibility is that you are
using the wrong key. It works fine on your desktop because key
validation is skipped there.

OK... You're not getting the rejected error anymore. Instead, there's
something wrong with the actual key. Let's ensure that you have the
