Don't think that your problem is related to the Maps API. It rather
seems to be a general HTML issue.
Even when using valid HTML it's always possible to nest elements in
such a way that no browser is able to render them.
Have you tried to display your nested elements without loading a map?

Thanks for your comment. I think the table is not causing the issue, however
I removed the table element and the problem still remain!
