I guess it is stripping out iframes as a possible hazard
There are client-side KML parsers that don't do that.

Hmm, then there is back to Fusion tables.
It is not as easy as I though this. All I want is a layer that I easy can
change placemarker icons, show a link and show a slideshow from panoramio.
