Marcus, I'm not sure if you have resolved this or not, but this happened to me when I was integrating GWT into a JBoss application. I had to right- click on the the "src" folder and do a Refresh. Just hitting F5 wasn't reloading everything. As an alternative (if this doesn't work), you could always create a linked project folder to the "public" folder in your workspace (New > Folder > Advanced > Check "Link to folder in the file system" > Browse...).
