Pyjamas 0.3, the port of GWT to python, has been released. Pyjamas is a python-to-javascript compiler and AJAX Framework and Widget set.
[hey, that's... that's very similar to what GWT is, i _wonder_ where the code came from? :) ] The API for the Widget set is near-identical to that of GWT, with slow progress catching up from the original port 2 years ago (GWT 1.2) to add the additional widgets of GWT 1.5 since then. Also, the Pyjamas API is so startlingly similar to that of pyqt4 and pygtk2 that a sister project has been done, which ports Pyjamas to the Desktop, thanks to WebKit. In this way, applications that conform to the Pyjamas API can be run *unmodified* in both every major web browser and also on the desktop. Including plugins (such as Adobe Flash). [that's very cool. why doesn't GWT do the same thing? :) ] Documentation for Pyjamas - showcase, tutorial, API, can be found at the web sites: http://pyjd.org for Pyjamas-Desktop http://pyjs.org for Pyjamas l. http://lkcl.net --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Web Toolkit" group.
