I'm using the dev version of Chrome (4.0.295.0) on Windows XP. When I paste the URL (the one Eclipse produces when I start the server with my GWT app) it just runs the app, ignoring any breakpoints. After some searching, I found the URL to the GWT extension, and installed it into Chrome. If I then select extensions from the wrench menu, I see "GWT Developer Plugin - Version: 1.0.7263", but if I restart Chrome and paste the server URL again, it still ignores my breakpoints. The extension I used is https://dl-ssl.google.com/gwt/plugins/chrome/gwt-dev-plugin.crx
Similarly on Firefox 3.5.7, I found a plugin URL (https://dl- ssl.google.com/gwt/plugins/firefox/gwt-dev-plugin.xpi) and installed it in FF. In the Add-ons list I can see "Google Web Toolkit Developer Plugin for Firefox 1.0.7263". When I then paste the server URL from Eclipse into FF, it runs the app without stopping at a breakpoint, does a drop-down saying "Additional plug-ins are required to display all the media on this page." with an "Install Plugin" button. If I click the button, it says "No suitable plugins found" and continues running the app without stopping at any breakpoints. Anyone got any ideas? I have gotten it to work on both FF and Safari on a Mac. Thanks, Joe
