Yes it can. To do this you need to create a new EntryPoint class that
creates an instance of your widget/app and adds it onto the RootPanel.
Example:
class MyEntryPoint implements EntryPoint
{
/**
* This is the entry point method.
*/
public void onModuleLoad()
