I agree with what I understood Alex to say Tuesday, namely that the QUAL valuesets are going to promote confusion rather than interoperation since they are not provided as specific to any particular test code(s) and they have values that are inappropriate out of context.
I enclose the feedback I submitted to Duke. I also commented that the OBS_GEN table has been a source of confusion as to what it should contain relative to OBS_CLIN.
