Hi All,
We are occasionally seeing an issue where an mmapplypolicy list job gets stuck
, all its doing is generating a listing from a fileset.
The problem occurs intermittently and doesn't seem to show any particular
pattern ( i.e. not always on the same fileset)
The policy job shows the usual o

I think it’s caused by the ID mapping not being configured properly.
Found this on the redhat knowledge base.
Environment
* Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

Issue
We are running a cNFS on GPFS 4.2.3-9 on 7.4 and kernel version
3.10.0-693.21.1.el7.x86_64 and are not having any errors.
So it's probably just GPFS not being ready for 7.5 yet.

Hi Matthias,
Not sure if this will help but we had a very similar issue with the GUI not
showing performance data, like you we have separate networks for the gpfs data
traffic and management/admin traffic.
For some reason when we put the full FQDN of the node into the "hostname" field
(it's bl
Hi,
Does anyone know how to use "mmperfmon config update" to get the "hostname ="
field in the ZImonSensors.cfg file populated with the hostname of the node that
it's been installed on?
By default the field is empty and for some reason on our cluster it doesn't
transmit any metrics unless we pu
I think you need to configure a gateway node (use mmchnode to change an
existing node class to gateway)
Then use mmafmconfig to setup export server maps on the gateway node.
e.g.
mmafmconfig -add "mapping1" -export-map "nfsServerIP"/"GatewayNode" (double
quotes not required)

We recently migrated several hundred TB from an Isilon cluster to our GPFS
cluster using AFM using NFS gateways mostly using 4.2.2.2 , the main thing we
noticed was that it would not migrate empty directories - we worked around the
issue by getting a list of the missing directories and running i
Hello all,
Does anyone have any experience with troubleshooting the new GPFS GUI?
I've got it up and running but have a few weird problems with it...
Maybe someone can help or point me in the right direction?
1. It keeps generating an alert saying that the cluster is down, when it
isn't??
Hi All,
I help to run a gpfs cluster at the Met Office, Exeter, UK.
The cluster is running GPFS 4.2.2.2, it's used with slurm for batch work -
primarily for postprocessing weather and climate change model data generated
from our HPC.
We currently have 8 NSD nodes with approx 3PB of storage with
