Looks like there have been two attempts to write python code for this
feature. I've never done dev work on a project like this that has patches
and so on (just created easy programs for myself). If someone's willing to
mentor me, I'd tackle the problem.

would add some processing time (especially for someone that has a lot of
podcasts) so it would definitely be advisable to make an option. And of
course there'd have to be a determination on what is the best time to do it
- immediately after d/l, before a transfer, etc

Whenever I upload a podcast with gPodder to my ipod nano 4th generation, the
length of the podcast on the ipod always shows incorrectly as 2:59:59 or
something close to that (perhaps 3:00:00). I've searched to see if anyone else
reports a similar problem, but haven't had much luck. Anyone h
