Hello,
remember - You are writing an C application in Python. You still have
to worry about pointers and memory allocation, still in a bit more
relaxed way.
Try to read my (unfinished) code at [1]. Provided example opens vector
map for reading, goes over all vector multilines (lines with

Hello,
IMHO your region resolution is much to large for r.sim.water:
33008x33443 cells - 1.1 billion cells.
You can use a coarse resolution or you can split your dataset in
smaller pieces for computation.
r.sim.water loads all raster maps into your memory and creates
additionally a maximum of
Thanks for the reply, Soeren.
I have had similar results on rasters with fewer than 1 million cells.
The process runs for a litte longer but then also gets killed.
I made the resolution very fine on purpose because I was trying to
crash r.sim.water to get to the debugging messages. Does that

OMFG! Do we really shipped 6.4.0 with unuseable PSLabel feature in
gis.m?!? I konw, some of You want to kill gis.m, but then DO SO by

Can I now sync 6.4 gis.m with 6.5 one? Or it should stay half-broken

I just tried r.external for the first time, and while r.external successfully
created the link raster, any attempt to access the raster data results in the
error Unable to load GDAL library.
Looking at where that error comes from, I find lib/gis/gdal.c, where it's
trying to dynamically load
Hi all,
I had just created a wx version of i.class module which generates
spectral signatures for an image by allowing the user to outline regions of
interest. The resulting signature file can be used as input for i.maxlik or
as a seed signature file for i.cluster.
Actual i.class module
Hi all,
I'm not sure who maintains the compiled binaries on the ubuntugis ppa
repository, so I'm addressing this request to the whole list. Currently, the
version of GRASS64 on the ppa is RC6-2. Given that 64 stable has just been
released, it would be nice to have the stable version put up to

Often packages filter in straight from DebianGIS (thanks to
Francesco Lovergine), but the UbuntuGIS packages are shepherded
in by Alan Boudreault. Coordination for UbuntuGIS is on the
