Can anybody give me a hint how to solve this.
Don't try to use quick hacks; do it properly. Either clone the file as
e.g. main3.c or make it support both 2d and 3d at run-time.
Well, actually my intention was not a quick hack. I thought it would

It worked fine for me last night compiling with the last weekly (
6-18-11) svn snapshot for grass 7.0, I'll poke it a bit more tomorrow.

Hi all,
comparing g.extension's compiling approach in G6 (bash) and G7
(python). In G6 is set external GISBASE which requires to define bunch
of ARCH_ variables.
make MODULE_TOPDIR=$GISBASE ARCH_INC=-I$GISBASE/include

ARCH_LIBPATH=-L$GISBASE/lib

OK, so I did a few tests on my notebook, all in GRASS 6.4.1. Every session

* start GRASS with a locale (LANG=something /usr/bin/grass)
* open a mapset (same in all tests)
* load a raster or two into map view
