That can happen if a module exists with an error before the new vector
is properly closed.

I've tried v.build and v.clean, copying to a new vector, and even v.type.
Nothing seems to work.

r.average is missing in G7. As it is a dependence, I would like to know
whether you are planning to resume it or I have to think a workaround to
