Hi Hamish,
thanks for the hint. It worked like a dream after installing the
libxmu-headers. Now I have one single error: /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXMU in
grass64_release/visualization/nviz.
Searching for '/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXMU' at Google doesn't show anything
related to lXmu.

somehow not. Configure runs true without a problem but Make is coming with
