based on the feedback from GRASS GIS PSC the preference is that the funds go to
the main mentors and they can decide how to use them,

Having signed up as co-/backup mentor too, I very much support Helenas
suggestion:
"As a backup mentor I would vote for all funds going to the main mentor or to
cover some collaborative development activity (in the past it would have been
e.g. travel to code sprint)."
