After pressing the place legend button, go on the screen and hold left click
drag it down, leave the left mouse button and then press right click button
once. It should work.

Parameter subgroup (Name der Eingabe-Bild-Untergruppe) is missing. But
I've created it and I put it in the appropriated field from the list.

Just to clarify - You have to read FILE named config.log at source
directory and look for last compilation command (i.e. gcc blabla). It
will give information WHY test failed and not simply WHICH one failed.

OK, that did work, somewhat. I got a legend with no values on the
raster surface and not on the volume.

What steps did you do before i.class?
What error message did you get?
What OS? What version of GRASS?

A couple of days ago I sent a few ermails about r.mode. Now I have one
questions: is there any issue associated with the fact that, ocasionally,
base and cover map may have different resolution? Is this a problem?
