had used one of my masks, although I have not set a mask.
First idea was to remove the mask with r.mask -r

Do you use r.in.gdal -e?
Maybe you just need to change the color profile?

Have you try to zoom on the extend of the imported raster ?
the r.in.* modules ignore grass region during the import, but after
your display use the mask and current region, so it can happend that
you have imported the full raster, but see only a small part ...

Hi,
just to inform that in the latest SVN (compiled a few minutes ago),
the import vector dialog has some bug.
I can navigate to the directory where my shapefiles are, but it won't
show any file for selection.
