Hi all,
I'm lost. I have looked around in GRASS for how to report the area (e.g.
in hectares) for a vector map that, yes, has area (i.e. centroids and
boundaries).
I cannot find a way to do this. A bit of web searching, even gave some
suggestions this basic facility may not be available in GRASS?

@devs: any way we can
When you initially start GRASS, on the very first screen you see, there is a
"help" button (circle with a "?" in it). Pressing this will give you good
information about starting GRASS, including creating a location.

the command line version is better tested under
debian/ubuntu, and perfectly suitable. Both versions
need as much testing as they can get of course.

Check for example this documentation:

or this:

"Introduction to GRASS GIS"
How can I create a new project in GRASS, even the simplest??

Hi mailing list
I have just installed the 6.4.2RC3 on a new computer (windows seven) and
everything is working, as with the old one versions, but we I try, with
the GUI wxpyhton to import vector or raster data, there is the following
problem:

OK, now I see. I think adding a warning in these case should be useful. Is this
documented in the man?

the results are the same when using ara+boundary or boundary alone.
thanks.

Hello everyone,
After some difficulty, I finally compiled 6.4.2svn50531 version, but when I
try to install some addon, GRASS displays the following error:
