Hi,
Just a heads up if there are GRASS gurus who are using radar
(specifically PALSAR) for land cover classification. I just got back
from a radar workshop using ENVI 4.7. I am interested in porting
the methodology (import, pre-processing, classification) to GRASS.
Just looking for specific

Hii,
I have a tif/geotiff format file: I can create a locationa in GRASS and
import the tiff file in to it and working with it.
But I would like to know is it possible to create my own simple
project(location) with my tif/geotiff data files like a spearfish or
nc_spm_08?
regards,
Albert

Hi all,
i want to simply divide my DEM into 30m grid cells - does anyone know how

i have previously used r.clump on a 30m DEM to create unique spatial units.
however, since r.clump finds all areas of contiguous cell category values
and groups them to form physically discrete areas, i
Hi all.
I'm following the examples in:

@ Roberto
Thank you for the hint. It's a nice way arround for a future purpose.
The friction map I am using was build from various inputs, one of them the
DEM (slope). So, if I understood right, using r.walk would be redundant
beacause slope and altitude are already considered in the friction
