You need to vary the size of the processing window ("size" argument). A tiny
window will identify tiny features (e.g. peaks within a 3x3 cell window); a big
window will find very large features.

Does v.category not work when connected to postgresql? I get a corrupt
output for "v.category in=elev_contour_area out=elev_contour_area_cat
op=add" on GRASS64.
The map is created and can be viewed, but there is no table and trying
to view the attributes crashes GRASS.

Dear user,
I have a strange issue on r.plane
If I run directly r.plane it is able to generate a plane but if I put it
in a shell script it create always a plane with a break in direction
NE-SO (or azimuth 45 counting clockwise from north) or better it puts a
huge step in direction 45 deg.

just wanted to verify if anyone else has noticed that running
r.watershed in -s mode WITH depressions gets stuck in the watershed
determination (section 4). I have tested this with grass7beta under suse
linux, with and without the -m and -b flags.

index used in r.surf.fractal? Would anyone know how to implement that?
It would be useful to compare how actual distributions compare to
theoretical ones based on a global index of surface heterogenity, and
