[GRASS-user] Use of d.rast3d_wrapper (GRASS 7.0.3 for Windows)

Dear GRASS users, I don't understand the panel "Add various raster map layers RGB, HIS...)" > "Add 3D raster map layer". What is it for? Should it display a 3D map in the Map Display or simply list the map name in the Layer Manager? Is there some manual page explaining the d.rast3d command?
