An international Summer Academy that uses R and GRASS GIS in the different
modules!
The interesting bit: The course is fully funded by the DAAD, which means that
people from developing countries can participate for free/all costs of travel,
accomodation and course fees will be covered

Dear Salvatore
I upgraded last weekend. I had to re-install the Frameworks like GDAL from
Kyngchaos but apart from that all went smooth and no problems so far.
Best regards

Dear Bulent
g.extension does not work on Mac to my knowledge.
There is a detailed description of an alternative how to build modules on Mac
using a few lines in the Shell.
If you install GRASS from kyngchaos, he provides a description in a readme file.

Thanks this works now!
Very obvious with the comma - but not when you are working with R the whole day
where arguments are separated by commas :-)

Dear all
presumably a trivial question - but what is the argument for space when
importing data?
I have xyz files with the format
..x..y...value
where <.> stands for white space. The spacing is two spaces between x and y and
three spaces to data column.
I used
r.in.xyz fs='space', in=dgm10_322
Dear all

Dear Erika,
did you try to first open the terminal and then start GRASS?
I had this error as well in the past - I think it disappeared after installing
Xcode with the command line tools (note that many things are not installed
automatically anymore with Xcode but you have to install the command

Hello,
I observed exactly the same problem on a Mac with 10.6.x of a student and we
identified an R installation as the culprit, during which the student had done
changes in the terminal...
So I would think that the Terminal preferences were changed by some other
installation rather than it woul
Dear Jose,
when did your problem occur? After installation/updating or haphazardly?
I had a similar problem with the Python GUI but after I updated all frameworks
it worked fine. In case you use the GRASS version from Kyngchaos can you update

Hello,
I think my last post was a bit misleading since I confused some english words.
I was trying to use a loop (not slope!!!) with scripting to display raster data
(see below).
- Is it possible to display from the command line in the GUI (I found an

Dear Grass Users,
I am a newbie to GRASS and am trying to display several raster maps in one
window.
I used scripting to store my maps in a variable:
my=$(g.mlist type=rast pattern='E14' -r)
and then a slope for plotting:
d.mon x0
for i in $my; do d.rast $i; done
Now the problem is that all ras
