When we use graylog collector 0.4.2 on Red Hat Enterprise 6.4, we sometimes
meet exception in thread "ChunkProcessor" as below , then graylog collector
can't send log to server util we restart collector.Because of this problem

Thanks Jochen. It looks like root is trying to start my graylog-server.
When I delete the server.log and then try to start the graylog-server, the
server.log file comes back owned by root:root.
So I deleted the server.log again, made sure the graylog-server and

that explains things. Upgrading the individual components of the virtual
machine images manually and individually is not recommended. Simply always
use the omnibus package and follow the upgrade process described at
http://docs.graylog.org/en/1.3/pages/installation/graylog_ctl.html

I have been playing for a few days with the alpha4 ova, I saw that alpha 5
has been released, altough I have nothing important stored on this version
I'd like to migrate the settings if possible (I've created some streams and

permissions on your Graylog setup must have performed in the past.

pretty simple question:
I have messages with switch ports e.g. Gi10/5 or GigabitEthernet1/0/10 in
them.
If I don't know the interface type/speed, I can't search for ports:
Searching for "1/0/10" returns nothing, as does 1\/0\/10
With "GigabitEthernet1/0/10" it works.
