Hello,
I'm trying to include the standard latex \star command in a score. When I
type
v\star/v(::)
nothing shows up. Any suggestions?

Advent greetings to you all!
I'm trying to set some Magnificat verses today, with a numeral for each
verse. For most lines, the numeral is placed directly below the clef,
but the numeral for the first line is placed to the left of the clef.
Is this a mistake?
Thanks!

\star is a Math symbol; if you want to use it, it should be in TeX's
math
