Hi,
Since Gretl is open source, you can easily get access to the code here:
http://gretl.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/gretl/gretl/
You can easily change the code in anyway you want. Then you can send your
changes as a patch to the developers' list: gretl-devel(a)lists.wfu.edu and
it can then be i

I think it would be possible.

I have tried the importer for SPSS files, and have not found any problems.
It works just fine.
It would be nice to have the value labels included as a column in the
variable list, as in SPSS, instead of output as a string code table to a
text file. But I guess it is harder.
However, I find this

I am busy learning C so I can join Jack and Allin in the development of
gretl. I hope to help expand it to a fully featured statistic

IMHO, this internationalization case (using , instead of .) has caused too
many bugs and thus it should be abandoned: Always require the use of .

The time series models is active when the data set is a time series data
set. From Data > Data set structure... you can change the structure of the
data set, if it is not a time series already.

Dear gretl users,
For gretl to continue to be developed and improved, it needs more people
contribution code to the project. This could to some part be done with the
help of user-written extensions in the form of add-on packages, as I have
described earlier (see

On my work I am using gretl on a computer with Windows XP, where I do not
have full administrator rights, only power user rights (I can install
software in C:/Program but not in other folders). I can install the stable
version 1.7.1, but when I try to install the latest Windows snapshot I got

Hi,
First, try to use the precompiled version, i.e. do not compile from source.
Second, have a look at the instructions for running gretl over a network at

Remove it. I do not see any need for it.
