Sometimes we have ~4T storage and I want to boot from this
GPT http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GUID_Partition_Table
The new grub should be able to handle this but I haven't seen a
distribution which use it ;-(
Maybe there is another bootloader for linux which is able to boot from
such a disc?

Erm... The all-in-one disk includes both Grub1 and Grub2 - you can load
Grub2 (0.96) from within Grub1. There you can type "configfile" and

I have a new amd64 from DNUK with Ubuntu Jaunty pre-installed so I've
been experimenting with grml6
Thanks for the info. I crossed my fingers and had a working GRML CD to
hand and did the udev upgrade, not a problem there.
