grub2.02 can boot the linux kernel with 64-bit boot protocol

Hi All, I use the grub2.02 to boot the 64-bit kernel of Kernel 3.16.0. The grub2.02 use the 32-bit boot protocol and the grub is also 32-bit. But I see that grub can use the 64-bit boot protocol in the Documents/x86/boot.txt. So I want to know how to realize
