- your source file has been damaged on disk
- your mgsd is still open in Firefox

If this is the case, then you can right click in Firefox, select View Page
source and then cut-n-paste the contents into a new file. You can probably
also use File>Save As... to do this, but I don't always trust this feature,
they often try to be smart to include pictures etc in the save.
