I do not use special flags for win 2000 during compilation.
Compiled on Win XP file is working on both platforms. Regarding libs,
I am using DLLs only. I have never tried to use statical linked
GTK+/ glib to application, probably this is the reason of issues
absence.

without issues on very old laptops with Win 2000. So I think you
should investigate your instalation file set. May be it does not
contain some necessary libs.
