FWIW, the macros in that place are misleading. Actually, it's not the BSD sendfile() because there's no such a thing. It's the HP-UX version of sendfile(). The FreeBSD developers decided to use this version instead of the Linux variant and now Linus despises them. No other BSD variant has a sendfile() routine. -- Christian
