Thanks for this and the other response from mpsuzuki. I had compiled/installed
the latest (2.6.0) version of fontconfig into /usr/local. The configure script
of pango requires fontconfig to be >2.5.0 and it was satisfied with what it
found. I also found that the fontconfig that was already on

Hi,
According the error message about undefined macro
FC_XXX, it looks like fontconfig on your system
is older than the version pango expects. Yet I've
not checked the earliest fontconfig knowing
FC_WEIGHT_EXTRABLACK, but is it possible to upgrade
fontconfig?

Hello, I'm trying to compile pango as a dependency for a project I'm working on
and am having difficulty with the newest versions. I started with 1.24.3 which
is the latest and get errors while compiling. I had already compiled this on
the Intel based OSX box without issue so I went back to so
