than embed the results available at build time. The whole point of
gtk-config and glib-config is to provide the current installed location,
which could differ from the built-against location for any number of
reasons (different rpm prefix relocation for instance).

Anyway, if no one can find any other problems with this code, I would
like to see it make its way into glib CVS. I have GNOME CVS write access,
so if whoever wants me to, I can commit it myself, after posting a full
unidiff on the list for confirmation that I'm doing it right.
ou can build any GUI you want. The
current gstmediaplay is passable, but needs to be rewritten on top of the
new libgstplay, once it's designed and written . A bonobo component
for playing media can then be built quite easily (and one was built at one
point in the past).
