Is there a way to build gtk2 so that it doesn't have Xft/fontconfig
support at all? I haven't seen it in the build documentation, so I'm

I was told on the xfree86 mailing list that you do need recent versions
of these, though - Xft2 with fontconfig 2 and freetype 2.
