Thanks - I didn't realize there was a new alternative to gtk_file_selection (I based this originally on info from the tutorial which presumably must've been written before the gtk_file_chooser came along). Anyway gtk_file_chooser works fine. Ian > -Original Message- > Fr

Actually, I just noticed that the floppy drive is not showing up either. So the gtk_file_selection is apparently displaying only the hard drives (and mapped hard drives), but not removable media. Ian > -Original Message- > From: Ian Puleston > Sent: Wednesday, February 22, 2006

gtk_file_selection not showing USB memory device

2006-02-22 Thread Ian Puleston
Hi, I have a Windows app built with GTK 2.8.10, and in it I'm using a gtk_file_selection to open a file. My problem is that in that gtk_file_selection dialog a USB memory device (installed in Windows as the F: drive) is not showing up. Also installed on the Windows PC I have Ethereal 0.

I use the gtk_file_selection_new() function to create a file selection. By selecting a file and pressing the OK button everything runs fine. However, by selecting a file with a double click, the filename is send to my function but causes trouble (deadlock, I must kill the whole program...) Has an

I did one for my app, about 2 years ago: http://cima.ng-london.org.uk/~john/giorgio/gtkfilesel2/ This one is backwards-compatible with the current filesel (binary as well as source), but adds history, files-of-type, auto suffix mangling, directory as well as filename completion, favorite
