I would be really happy if I can subscribe to a perl specific gtk mailing
list. I had been working with perl for the past 4 years or so, but is
quite new to GTK (& after doing programming in Perl, it's a pain to code
in C or C++).
I guess a separate Perl mailing list would accelarate the growth

I think the quantity of perl-related posts probably warrants a
dedicated list. It seems to be by far the most popular interpreted
language binding (I guess Perl is likely the most popular non-C/C++
language), and gtk-- already has its own high-traffic list.
