Mandatory GTS content... Finished putting the front end together last night
after regreasing the front upper and lower swingarms. Should be good for a
few more years. Now time to tear the rear end down, lube that, and put on
chain and sprockets.

I was a "maybe" but it looks like a "no", so don't plan for me. In case

Bob,
That's kind of interesting.
Are the plates more brittle (brittler) in an uncharged state - making a short
more likely? Or, is it that the sediment laying on the bottom shorting out
the plates?
Inquiring mind want to know.

See the big monster saddlebags on the VFR800, Hayabusa, XJR1200, etc. If
anyone understands the language, let me know what it says.

Jay I just saw the picture of your Mayer's saddle in MCN. The front
looks to be dished out alot is that an optical illusion or is your seat
height alot lower now?? The pillion seat looks much improved over stock
but I am not sure what to think of the driver's seat.

Why isn't the GTS ever listed in 60-0 mph braking performance lists? I
mean this is supposed to be a very fast stoping bike. The most recent
article that caught my attention is the chart in MCN that lists the
Triumph Speed Triple at 106.7' If the GTS can stop from 60 in 98' as
claimed by a coup

The test I read put it consistently at 89 and 88 feet. (Rider?)

You can get real accurate if you take the reading for a few hours or more
and average the results. Long you wait the better.
connect the gps to any laptop to record the data.

Louis,
It's a magazine thing. The GTS is not news, it's been out of production
for 5 years (for us). Yawn. Doesn't matter what the numbers are, if the
bike has not been available for a few years, it won't be in the lists.

Good point Louis!
Far as I know they're still selling the GTS in Europe - anybody verify this?
So why doesn't it show up in tests?
BTW - the shortest reported distance I've seen is 87 feet from 60MPH back
when it was new. But regardless of the actual distance, the GTS always had
the shortest dis
The best looking bags look like GIVI copies--too bad that's not the bag
they stuck on the GTS... I guess it might be kinda small...
