I just replaced my original battery last weekend, almost 6 years to the day
I bought the bike new (a '93 in July '94).
My symptoms were the expected ones, after leaving it on the Battery Tender
overnight: 12.8 volts unloaded, but a big voltage drop when I hit the

There should be a code stored in your ECU to tell you exactly what was
causing the engine light to stay on. Check the S.M. for putting the system in
dealer mode and retrieving the code.
The same should be true for the ABS light staying on. If it were flashing,
you can turn the key on a
