I cannot believe it. Some lowlife stole the plastic covers that hide the swingarm

I concur!. If the light is blinking, you still have ABS, but a fault was previously
detected. On the
other hand if the ABS light comes on and stays on, then you don't have ABS! So sayeth
the service
manual.

This evening I noticed my ignition switch was loose. It is attached ( I
think) to the underside of the handle bar casting. In looking at the
parts fiche (I-7), it looks two hex bolts are used to secure it.
I looked under the ignition switch with a dental mirror. What I see does
