I believe I paid $110 for stock front pads a couple of years ago. Rotor
wore well. However, the rear pads ate up the rotor pretty fast. I didn't
even think I was using the rear very much. Of course now that I have to
activate the HDU pump on the rear often to keep it functioning I'll be going
I used mine for touring until the new job and the Electra Glide Classic
entered my life. As soon as it sells and before the next one is in the
stable, it's back to the GTS. BTW, the Buell is in race trim so the GTS is
getting used more often. What a sweet machine. Steve

I'll be travelling through Toronto this Saturday (spending the night). If
any GTSers are interested in hooking up, let me know and we'll try to make
it happen.

Well it's that time of year again. Going to Laconia, NH in less than 1
month. Riding from Milwaukee to Concord over the 6/9 thru 6/12 timeframe
with sightseeing stops along the way (MI, Canada, NY, VT, NH). Anyone out
there plan on travelling to this event? Anyone want to try and get together
would be OK. Anyone else with these sentiments?
Having a wife/girlfriend that rides her own bike is not all it's cracked up
to be. Imagine, you being a competent rider with advanced skills... waiting
for her at every stop sign.

A simple trick that I use to lock up helmets, jackets, etc. is with a ski
lock. The cable type with a combination lock works well (mfg'd by Master
Lock). The cable is ~1/4" diameter with plastic coating ~2' long. Slip the
cable through the sleeve then any part of the frame. I've been able to l
OK, I'm in.
Just give the off roaders a place to go. Couple thousand acres here and
there. Save the other 489 billion acres for other recreation. Hiking,
fishing, camping, bird watching, hunting, whatever. I am part of nature
too. Don't ban me from it. Don't permit me to abuse it either
I've completed the NHSTA form.

Thanks for the positive post. We've had a few of these in a back room here
to sit on and wonder about. Erik Buell is very excited about this bike.
For the same reasons as imagined when he tells you his favorite bike of all
time is the Honda Cub... It gets people into the sport he loves so much.
Ditto. The Battery Tender works as advertised.

OK, just got back from an extended weekend in the smokies. Took the bike
that best suited the conditions. Nope it wasn't the EX500 or the GTS. Of
course it wasn't my 2000 FLHTCI. That would've been a real spark show. I
took the Buell M2. What fun!!! You folks have be busy discussing H-Ds.

Speed limit is 55 and the yellow speed limit signs are "suggested only."
I'm slow and I can do it in 11 minutes. The fastest guys do it in 9. I'll
be there improving my times at the end of this month. Don't look for the 11
minute GTS though, look for the 10 minute Buell with stubby footpegs
