Today and yesterday I was really regretting not having something. Now I have the gerbing liner too! It's great. But I think that they are right about wiring the jacket and gloves to different thermostats. I think that would give you better control. I'm glad to hear that you DONT have to do that though, so now I know I have the choice. I bet the gerbing gloves are better. I also use the heat-troller, which is excellant. What a great idea; beats a rheostat any day. On the hippo hands: I used them on my un-faired KZ400 for many years back east where it REALLY gets cold. I must say, they work a little, but not enough. When it gets in the 30's, you are going to need heat; no exceptions to the rule. I already use some thick olympia gloves out here in California, but they are proving not enough for the recent cold weather. I am just thinking that you would have to waste more energy with heated grips because the heat would have to travel all the way through the insulation of the gloves. And if you didn't wear thick gloves, the BACK of your hands would get cold. \|/ \|/ Greg Christopher | | [EMAIL PROTECTED] ICQ: 4997683 PAGER: http://wwp.mirabilis.com/4997683 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Outside of a dog, books are man's best friend.
