I've been using the EBC's for about 4 years now. I bought them back when they were significantly cheaper than the OEMs. The stopping power may be down a bit from the OEMs, because I believe the Yamaha's are sintered while the EBCs are not. This also means that the EBCs might be cause less wear on

Is there such a thing as a Snell approved helmet that isn't DOT approved? I don't think so; I don't think the helmet can be sold as a motorcycle helmet if it isn't DOT approved. So this isn't an either-or, it's a one-or-both, and "both" surely offers a bit of extra protection. Gil H.
