I wonder what we could do to better handle that, though. Perhaps dmd
could send SIGUSR1 to its parent when the socket’s ready, like Xorg

All/most Autoconf-generated do that, but usually
I wrote a basic guide[1] for contributors. It covers instalation and usage
of guix, and also writing simple recipes and contributing to the project.
