I bought some wool fabric with a twill weave off ebay recently, but the weave
turned out to be much more open than I had hoped. Does anyone know when open
twill weaves started to be used, as opposed to tighter gabardines etc?

Yes, sorry, I meant authentic late 18th, early 19th century. Very similar to
some ramoneur prints I've seen on late 18th century Robe A L'Anglais.

suppliers and I had to have it. However there was only roughly 1.5-2m. Any
ideas about what I could do with it?
