I used Green Hills 1830-50 and was terribly under-impressed. (Dont bother looking, it was discountinued.) Next time I'd draft my own from scratch, but then I've done some formal tailoring. This is not an easy era or project. For Sean Bean's field jacket, you might start with Rocking Horse Farm RH205: Workman's Jacket or Stable Jacket For something more formal, any Regency or Napoleonic men's tailcoat will give you a good start. Instead of using movies for costume "research", look at the real deal.
