On Friday I was informed by Carphone Warehouse in Petersfield that the Ubuntu Webbook has been withdrawn from sale. They even thought that they had still got some in the stockroom, but they are not allowed to sell them. :-( I had been intending to take someone in on Monday to look at one,

Things like this are IMHO potentially vary bad for us. I used to work for a company that provided a service to the public. We recognised that it was fairly easy to sell our service to a new customer but once they'd turned us out and got our competitors in it was almost impossible to get back in
