On 19 Jun at 1940 on 1386 I noted a station with instrumental
music, good old tunes like "Twistin' Patricia" "Besame Mucho"
"Never on Sunday" etc. Non-stop, no announcements at the
TOH 2000. During these disturbed conditions was overriding
VOR in English on this channel almost completely. I have

North America use heavy audio compression. In Europe that is
restricted by ITU because it generates splash that may cause
interference to nearby radio stations within large frequency
range (+- 30 or even 40 kHz from stn original freque
