This is an interesting recording, to say the least.
At :40 and 3:50 I hear "Radio (multi-syllable)" IDs, which a
Russian-speaking DXer should be able to recognize (I wasn't able to
understand it). The announcement at 4:10 is mostly in Russian but
mentions "Ni hao (something) Radio Kitay

I've had similar results. I sent a written report + CD in 2007 and
followed up with an e-mail + MP3 last fall and not heard from them. The
RUV website www.ruv.is lists e-mail addresses for most or all of the

Today I received QSLs from China National Radio for September 2007
reports on 720 and 1377 kHz. Both cards were specific as to freq, date
and time and were sent in the same envelope. It was a pleasant surprise
to finally hear back from them after 21 months with no follow ups.

transmitters. The projected on-air date was September. The old
transmitters operated on 1125 and 1179, although there could have been a
