** BIAFRA [non]. 11530, Nov 15 at 1859, WRMI ID by Biermann, and then --- music
fill immediately from 1900 and at further random chex during the hour, 1911,
1944, instead of Voice of Biafra. What`s wrong? What`s next? Summarizing,
here`s what has happened so far with this transmission:
Sun Nov 12, discovered in progress with VOB announcements
Mon Nov 13, repeated same hour
Tue Nov 14, nothing heard at UTwente
Wed Nov 15, on air but replaced by music
Thu Nov 16, ??? TBA

As for the 0500 broadcast, Ivo Ivanov also reports music fill:
``SWLDXBulgaria News, November 15-16 (publications ?11286-?11300)
http://swldxbulgaria.blogspot.bg/2017/11/reception-of-radio-biafra-via-tdf.html
BIAFRA (non) Reception of Radio Biafra via TDF Issoudun, Nov 16:
0500-0600 on 7240 ISS 100 kW / 170 deg to WeAf English, good and
not parallel 11530 YFR 100 kW / 087 deg to WeAf Music via WRMI tx``
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 9720, Nov 16 at 0036, amid RHC`s second English hour of the day, new
frequency is on and // 5040; while 6060 is off, just Brazilian with het. Last
night`s English on 6060 toward hourend was probably a slipshod early switch-on
with the wrong feed input. Something`s always wrong at RHC.

RHC Spanish audible on 9535, 9640; and separate `Mesa Redonda` TV soundtrack on
6000, overmodulated/distorted. MR is supposed to be on a second channel, still
11950. Surely supposed to be on, but no 25m frequencies audible, outfaded
already? (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENNG DIGEST)

** CUBA. 11650, Nov 16 at 1315, RHC Spanish is only S9-S5 and undermodulated,
much weaker than 11670 at S9+40. B-17 sked shows 11650 at 13-15, 110 degrees to
S America (but missing it at that angle), is the puny 50 kW Bejucal transmitter
rather than 100/250 from most RHC frequencies. 50 kW also on 13670 at 12-13;
9640 at 22-05; another 50 kW on 15730 at 2330-0130 (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** CUBA. 15370, Nov 16 at 1523, RHC fails to surround this frequency with a
dozen filthy spurs across the 19m band; what`s wrong? These seem to be more
likely around *1400. Maybe they clear up with warmup? By this hour, only other
frequencies on air, per sked and monitoring, are 9535, 11760, 15230, 17730
(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** ERITREA. 7181.595, Nov 16 at 1323, JBA carrier with LSB QRhaM, presumed
INTRUDER VOBME by long path. Nothing audible from other VOBME circa 7140 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, DX LISENING DIGEST)

** JAPAN. 9680, Nov 16 at 1532, nice harp music at S3, Japanese talk. The
China/Taiwan radio war is over at 1400, and now NHK runs 1455-1700 due west
from Yamata; not good for Zambia during same span weekends (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** KOREA NORTH. 2850, Nov 16 at 1336, S5-S7 Korean talk, my pro-forma
occasional log of this high-MW, only 105-mb broadcast station (except for MW
harmonix, but none lately), KCBS Pyongyang, on the air 22 hours a day, 50 kW
ND. At least a carrier is usually audible here around sunrise (Glenn Hauser,
OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** KOREA NORTH [and non]. 5920+, Nov 16 at 1327 Korean talk, and rapid tone
jamming on the hi side, vs Voice of Freedom on one of its alternative
frequencies (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** KOREA NORTH [non]. 7410, Nov 16 at 1332, while CRI Japanese is talking
instead of musicking, barely audible understation presumed still Shiokaze from
Japan, English on Thursday. Earlier in the hour I could not detect it on 7410,
and scanned the 49m band for it with no results either (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX
LISTENING DIGEST)

** KOREA SOUTH. 9805, Nov 15 at 2258, VG S9+10 with flute and guitar music;
2259, KBSWR theme and Indonesian ID; 2300 theme and opening Chinese. Both hours
250 kW on same 225 degree beam from Kimjae. Apparently KBS is not worthy of
ChiCom jamming (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** OKLAHOMA. 1390, Nov 16 at 1307 UT, KCRC Enid is open carrier/dead air, as
are the nasty spurs hetting 1360 and 1420, but they are also wobbly. Still dead
at 1313 UT; obviously no one in charge and no one cares whether it modulate or
not. Unfortunately, it usually does, 24/7 with stupid CBS sports talk. I take
the opportunity to null the fundamental for anything else, but it`s still too
strong, only a few miles away. Third harmonic 4170 also silent still at 1341 UT
except for some hum. Had resumed modulation by next check 1522 UT (Glenn
Hauser, Enid OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** SOMALILAND. 7120, Nov 16 at 1318, R. Hargeisa, S8 with undermodulated song;
1320 I think I hear the English words ``This is ---`` as a third of an hour in
English is scheduled to start now; more talk and music, but too weak, by long
path (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** TURKEY. In last report, I meant to write 6125.006, not 6125.06 on this item,
fixed:
6125.006, Nov 15 at 0412, VOT in English to N America is only poor, but pretty
close to on-frequency. The // to Asia, 7240, is not audible (Glenn Hauser, OK,
DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 4102.842-CW, Nov 16 at 0723, the `W` weather beacon from the SE
California desert, very weak but strong enough to pin down the frequency.
Between the W`s, sends various other letters and numbers, such as 2, 6, E E E.
Again audible at 1340 check (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 1904 monitoring: confirmed Wednesday
November 15 at 2200 on WBCQ, 7490v, VG S9+20/30. This broadcast is now ``in
season``, off to a good start with plenty of nighty propagation, but not too
much. Sunset is early! 3:57 pm EST in nearby Presque Isle = 2057 UT, per
timeanddate.com.

But not confirmed, next broadcast UT Thu Nov 16 at 0030 on WBCQ, 9330v-CUSB ---
can`t even confirm it is on the air (Nearby stations: 9395 WRMI VG with BS,
9370 WWRB fair delayed behind 9395; 9265 WINB poor; 9455 WRMI VG with Oldies;
7490 WBCQ fair-good.) Next:

(Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 9370, Nov 16 at 0721, JBA carrier --- oh2, bet it`s WWRB again, where
Dave failed to change to night BS frequency, 3185 --- yes, nothing there! It
would be a nightmare making good to TOM all the transmission failures his
psychophants/sickophants paid for (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

** U S A. 1000 kHz, Nov 16 at 1303 UT, toll-free number ad, never a useful
clue, but then plug for wilkinsradio.com. Hovering over ``Our Stations`` there
we find as suspected KKIM 1000 Albuquerque NM; makes usual slow SAH with KTOK
OKC, nulled as much as possible. It`s 7 minutes before LSR here, but way before
in ABQ. KKIM is 10000/53 watts U1, also with PSRA of 12.2 watts! Official FCC
sunrise for it in November is 1345 UT (December: 1400 UT). No doubt God OKs
their cheating (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGST)

UNIDENTIFIED. Trans-Pacific JBA MW carrier search, Nov 16 between 1243 and 1253
UT: Here is where I always start: 774-NW, also weaker from WSW, it seems;
702-WSW; 657-WSW, 594-WSW, 882-?, 972-?; 1035-WSW, 1098-W, 1116-WSW, 1323-WSW,
1566-NW. Also one off-frequency below 666 from WSW, local birdie? Sunrise here
1310 UT (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 6130-USB, Nov 16 at 1330, INTRUDER, 2-way in Spanish, very weak,
vs carrier presumably Laos (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)

UNIDENTIFIED. 11718-USB, Nov 15 at 2307, VP 2-way in Spanish; het from 11720,
nothing on 11715. It seems I continue to be the only monitor documenting these
INTRUDERS (Glenn Hauser, OK, DX LISTENING DIGEST)
