*Ham Course in the University of Madras*
The first time in the history of Indian universities, ‘Ham Radio’ paper were 
introduced by the Department of Journalism and Communication, University of 
Madras.
This is an Elective Course offered by Dr.T.Jaisakthivel, who is also a ham 
using VU3UOM call sign in the band.
The students studying from 75+ different departments in the university will 
take this course as an elective. 
Five different units were covered the basic electronics and the rules and 
regulations for the Ham. Students simultaneously write the ASOC exam and get 
the ticket to become a Ham.
